Last week marked 21 years surviveiversary for our daughter. She was dying. They were giving us no hope for her survival… they were only trying to get her through the night. Her lungs were full of blood and her kidneys had shut down. 21 years later she is a mom with her own business and doing well. We are so thankful for the 21 years we have had with her. What pulled her through? Of course, the wisdom and dedication of the medical staff, one Doctor, was crucial to her getting the right medication and treatments, but ultimately it was because of a touch from our Heavenly Father.
There was nothing we could do to help her. We couldn’t take any of the pain from her or shield her from any of the painful procedures they put her through. All we could do was be there for her and pray. And pray, oh how we prayed.
Many times, life situations are out of our hands. We can’t do anything to change circumstances. But if we put our trust in God the Father and Jesus His Son, things that seem impossible can have a different outcome. It doesn’t always turn out the way we want it to, but it is always better than when we try to handle it on our own.
I pray that God guides you through all the situations you are going through, and gives you the wisdom to know what to do and what not to do. I pray He gives you peace and so surrounds you with His presence that there is no doubt in your mind that He is in control and working on your behalf. In His arms is the safest place to be!
