Alone or With Help

We received a lot of snow in the last few days. A friend came over to see me, but she forgot some things she needed so had her daughter come by to drop her things off. As her daughter was leaving, she slipped off of my long driveway into the ditch. As a result she was stuck. We tired to push her out, but that was unsuccessful. So another friend came by and pulled her out. We all were so thankful for his help.

Sometimes we all find ourselves in situations that are difficult and we don’t know what to do. On our own, it doesn’t seem like there is any solution. We may exhaust everything we can think of to try and fix things by ourselves, but that is not enough. It is essential to know sometimes we need to ask for help, and who we should ask. Pride can keep us from letting others know we can’t handle it on our own. Recognize that dealing with issues on our own help us get stronger. However, when we can’t manage it we need to exercise wisdom in realizing we are over our heads. If you are going through a problem that is beyond your ability, recognize there is no shame in asking for help. When two or more work together on a situation, they have more experience, wisdom, and strength to draw from. More can be accomplished easier and at a faster face. The council of others can bring so much more wisdom to the table. Whatever your situation, whatever is happening, I pray you have wisdom in how to handle it and when to ask for needed help.
