Our Daughter bought a house this summer. As a result we have been pulling carpets, painting, laying flooring, electrical work etc. etc. We have learned to do things we never thought about doing. Working in the heat of summer has made it all the more difficult. We are thankful for the way God has supplied some help, because if it wasn’t for that help it would be just the two of us trying to do everything.
Now I know we are not the only ones who are in a position such as this. You may not be fixing a house but if you have a loved one incarcerated, deployed, or separated for any reason, especially a spouse or someone who helps you with a lot of things, then you understand. The reason for the separation doesn’t matter.
Even though the reason doesn’t matter, the consequences are real. We are left with many decisions to make, and things to accomplish. How do you do it? How do you do all that you normally do and deal with the “problems” that come up? Where do you turn for help?
Often I find myself in a position of not knowing what to do. I pray and ask God to show me how to do what needs to be done, or show me who to talk to. Sometimes He shows me how, and other times He leads me to someone who can help. Many times that means a lot of hard work, but I have found that God is so faithful in helping. He will help you as well. He is waiting for you to turn to Him. When everyone fails you, He will be there for you!
